You may want to call your bank ahead of time if you plan to participate in an upcoming drop (sale) of Orange Comet NFTs to let them know that you will be purchasing digital collectibles from Orange Comet.

We anticipate that the ability to list, sell, trade and purchase NFTs in the secondary market will be available in January. You will be able to easily list and sell your Orange Comet NFT in the Orange Comet Exchange. Orange Comet aims to make the experience of selling NFTs as easy as it is for you to shop on your favorite online auction sites.

We expect to offer funds withdrawals via wire transfer in January. We are adding digital cryptocurrency withdrawals in January 2022 for jurisdictions that allow the same. No. Sending NFTs not originally minted on Orangecomet.io to your wallet address may result in the permanent loss of your NFT.

Digital Collectibles can be purchased, collected, and traded through an online marketplace. Types of assets are digital images, collectibles (such as trading cards, autographs, dolls, etc.), sound and video clips, 3D art, or other digital files that represent special properties. By minting (aka creating) these digital collectibles on the Orange Comet blockchain (See ABOUT OUR BLOCKCHAIN below), it guarantees that the digital collectible that you are purchasing, whether directly from us or in the exchange marketplace, is a genuine and officially licensed and not a “fan-made” piece that you may see on other sites.

Once an NFT is created, it starts its life on the blockchain, where a fan or collector can purchase it and where it can be subsequently exchanged, traded or held by collectors like any other rare artifact. Your NFT will be placed into your Orange Comet Marketplace account and you now have recorded ownership of that NFT. Now is your time to show it off. You’ll also be able to display your NFT to your friends and link it to your favorite social media network for bragging rights on your collection of cool NFTs. In January 2022, you will be able to list your NFT for sale on our exchange and be able to purchase more NFTs from other sellers.

When you create an Orange Comet NFT Account we set up an account for you known as a “custodial wallet.” This is the most common type of wallet offered by many different companies producing NFTs for blockchains. Think of the wallet as a digital account used to store your Orange Comet NFTs. You have a digital wallet on your smartphone that holds pieces of electronic digital information; an NFT Digital wallet holds NFTs which are digital collectibles. Since it’s a custodial wallet, we create and manage it for you but you always have final say on what you want to do with your NFTs (buy, sell or trade them on the Orange Comet platform.)

Your Orange Comet Digital asset ownership is recorded on the Avalanche Blockchain as an ERC-721 or ERC-1155 Digital Collectible.

ERC stands for Ethereum Request for Comment. It means that the NFT is coded for the Ethereum Blockchain and the number beside it refers to the specific way the token is encoded. The most common tokens on the Ethereum Blockchain are ERC-721 or ERC-1155 and each version of the code that creates them allows the NFT to do certain things.

Avalanche is the fastest smart contract Ethereum based platform in the blockchain industry, as measured by time-to-finality, and has the most validators securing its activity of any proof-of-stake protocol. Avalanche is leading the blockchain world into the net-zero age, marking a new beginning for the entire blockchain space to shed the environmentally unsustainable model of Proof of Work systems. The Avalanche Blockchain is Net Zero Carbon emissions and was invited to participate in the recent United Nations UKCOP26 meeting where they discussed the importance of being a Net Zero blockchain.  In 2021 Avalanche commissioned an independent study by the Crypto Carbon Ratings Institute  to determine the chain’s environmental impact.
